Information about Fine Art Giclée Reproduction

Some of my giclees are available on watercolor paper and some are on canvas.

All of my giclees are genuine certified reproductions. They therefore have excellent longevity when hung in normal ‘office conditions’ they have great longevity. That simply means it is advised that art of any kind is not hung in direct sunlight, reflected sunlight or in situations where heat could effect the item (such as above a fireplace or steamy kitchen/bathroom).

Giclees created on watercolor paper look as if they are original watercolor paintings and just as an original watercolor would be treated – Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on watercolor paper would also be framed with a matt board surround and framed behind glass.

My Fine Art Giclee certified reproductions on watercolor paper and canvas have a UV protectant coating which ensures longevity as described in the guarantee mentioned above.

Each of my prints has a white border. This white border allows you to frame your print without touching the image.

You can use plain glass or conservation glass. Either of these two are good products. Plain glass does not have any UV protection so I advise the use of Conservation glass. Non-reflect glass is not a good product to use as it blurs all images slightly.

On my original work I often use Museum glass which is incredible for two reasons – it makes the images looks sharp and crisp as well as reducing the reflection markedly. Museum glass is the perfect glass. But the downside is that it is hugely expensive.

My Fine Art Giclee certified reproductions that are created on canvas look as if they are original paintings on canvas. These giclees do not need to be behind glass as they have a UV protectant varnish on the surface. It is advised that giclees on canvas are stretched on stretcher bars just as you would see an original oil painting would be stretched on stretcher bars.

My Fine Art Giclee certified reproductions on canvas have a UV protectant varnish which ensures longevity as described in the guarantee mentioned above.
