- Josephine Bruce - The essence of this rose was the rich, deep red velvety petals - they presented quite a challenge to portray. I want viewers of this painting to feel as if they can reach in and touch the petals and drink the sumptuous perfume of this beautiful rose. This painting was another that featured on the cover of "The New Zealand Gardener" magazine.
