Help choose a title for this new oil painting?
Can you help me choose a title for my new painting?

Oil on Belgian Linen
Do you like a challenge?
Here is a fun opportunity to help choose a title for my large oil painting of the Boom Bar in Soho, New York. I finished this oil painting of a New York cafe scene some time ago and have been trying to come up with the perfect title. Easier said than done!
Here is a little background on the inspriation for the painting:
Richard and I wandered along the Soho streets looking for somewhere characterful to eat - and we came across the Boom Bar - a restaurant/bar where we felt as if we had stepped back into the 1940s.
We were given a lovely table which gave me the view of the restaurant that you can see (For those who will seek out this magical place - please bear in mind I have used a little artistic license here and there too!)
I sat mesmerized by the decor and the mood created by the rich, warm, soft light. The deep shadows created such an evocative atmosphere and of course the chandeliers gently illuminated the beautiful patterned ceiling. The aperitif bottles glow with singing color reflecting in the mirror behind. The waitress behind the bar graciously agreed to pose for me. She is Australian and a stunningly beautiful and capable woman. She was perfect!
The painting will mean different things to different people but for me - I particularly wanted to reflect the era of the French Résistance. A clandestine connection between the waitress and the patron. An understanding.
As you can imagine I couldn't wait to put paint to canvas and capturethe emotion I felt about this incredible place.
So let's do something really different: put our heads together - put our thinking caps on and conjure up an evocative title for this mood-filled scene I couldn't resist painting!

Suzanne, this looks like the girl with the cap came in for a little while and needed a friend to talk to .. since the place was empty she found a friend who may be able to help her decide: I think the painting can be called:
" MAYBE YOU SHOULD .. "
Love and appreciation (you are an awesome painter) xx Kathy Njoroge, India

Hello Kathleen
Wonderful title - thank you so much. I have recieved so many fabulous titles it is going to be hard to choose - seriously - they are brilliant and just what I am after. We have until 31st August to submit ideas so do keep thinking and posting or emailing. It is a lovely notion that someone will have their title forever on this evocative painting.

Hi Susan....I would like to suggest the title of your beautiful painting. "Consultation" or "The Counsultant". I live in a little town in Arizona between Sedona, AZ and a little ghost town called Jerome, AZ. Their is a bar in Jerome that looks very similar to this and the bar maid looks like the girl in your painting. The town people seems to be drawn to this barmaid to "consult" with her on challenges in their daily lives.
Your talent with a brush is really inspiring.....your are truly a master.
Thank You for sharing yourself!
In joy,

Hi Sandy
How wonderful to have a place like this in your village! Thank you for your suggestions. Wonderful! I will add them to the list and take a look at them all on 31st. It has been such a fun thing to do. There are so many incredible titles sent in. I am so inspired by many of them that I think they may be the catalyst for many paintings! Rather than the other way around.
Thank you for your very kind words about my work Sandy. I feel very humbled by such comments. I hope with my teaching and work, that I can inspire others to put their fears aside and paint paint paint. We all have it in us - it is just a matter of doing it.
Kindest regards to you.
Susan
