Flowers and Rose Paintings in oil and watercolor

As with my figurative work, my floral paintings are metaphorical. Often portraying an ephemeral beauty that is there for such a short time – but the stages from bud to spent flower, fresh young leaf burst to chewed, curled aged leaves all speak of life and often stoicism.

Roses, rhododendrons, daffodils, hollyhocks, apple blossom, magnolias, paeonies, poppies.

They all captivate my imagination.
